Vice President, Community Ministries


Focus on furthering the mission and vision of Youth For Christ of Northern Indiana (YFCNIN) and developing our neighborhood and community-focused ministry programs throughout our region.


Staff Leadership 

  • Lead, coach, serve, and encourage our team of staff and ministry leaders who are engaging in relational ministry 
  • Building & retaining the right group of people needed to accomplish the mission

Ministry Impact & Excellence 

  • Ensure that ministry standards are being met and that proper training, development, curriculum, and techniques are being implemented

Organizational Leadership 

  • Serve on the YFCNIN leadership team and engaged in vision casting and strategy for the organization
  • Offer leadership in promoting & encouraging the increase of cultural competency for our team

Community Engagement 

  • Actively engaged in the community representing YFCNIN
  • Serve on strategic boards and task force groups
  • Gatekeeper for several key partnerships with churches and like-minded organizations

Financial Development 

  • Oversee & responsible for managing & securing the annual department budget of $500,000+ by leading his/her team, growing community funding relationships, & overseeing agreements with local foundations

Ministry Development 

  • Expanding the reach of ministry by increasing authentic Christ-sharing relationships throughout our region by utilizing City Life, JJM, & other community-focused ministry models

Operational Management 

  • Oversee the operations of the facilities where ministry is happening; 46807 City Life building on S. Calhoun Street & any future facilities

Ad Hoc Leadership Functions as Assigned


  • Master’s Degree preferred (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of proven leadership experience
  • 5+ years serving in high-need communities
  • Existing strong relationships and presence in the Fort Wayne community preferred


  • An authentic & abiding personal relationship with Jesus Christ
  • A deep & driving desire to see young people find hope in Jesus
  • A genuine hope for community transformation 
  • Existing strong relationships & presence in the Fort Wayne community (preferred)
  • Ability to coach, motivate, and lead teams of adults, ministry leaders, and students
  • Team player, highly relational, teachable
