One of our students had a very difficult month last month. She opened up about her abuse and a lot of hurt she was experiencing and it became clear she was at a crucial time in her life and she simply needed support from loving adults around her. Recognizing this, this student’s mom contacted one of our Campus Life Directors to ask them to meet with her daughter. One of our Campus Life Directors came alongside her, walking with her through the hurt while allowing the Lord to heal her heart and draw her close to His own.
Since then, this student has continued to be poured into by our Campus Life Director, having regular conversations about life and God.
“We’ve talked about what forgiveness looks like, God’s goodness, and what healing looks like for each one of us. I am so thankful that I can have these conversations with this student! We will continue to meet to work through different things going on in this painful process. She is asking hard but important questions about God and we have had some great discussions!”
