To reach young people everywhere
Youth for Christ reaches young people everywhere, working together with the local church and other likeminded partners to raise up lifelong followers of Jesus who lead by their godliness in lifestyle, devotion to the Word of God and prayer, passion for sharing the love of Christ, and commitment to social involvement.
To share the hope of Jesus
As part of the body of Christ, our vision is to see every young person, in every people group, in every nation, have the opportunity to make an informed decision to be a follower of Jesus Christ and become part of a local church.
Chris Freeman, City Church
We are so thankful for city life
Honestly, we would not be who we are today as a church without them. They are a critical partner in our ministry. They are helping reach a whole generation of students who need to know that there are people out there who love them. We are so thankful for City Life.”
Aaron Lane, Courageous Healing
Youth for Christ Helped Mold Me Into Who I Am Today
“I have the opportunity to serve on the Youth for Christ board and it has become a part of my heart and what I have believed in through the years. I attended Campus Life at Snider High School and it honestly helped mold me into who I am today.”
Ron Williams, Pathway Community Church
introducing students to the most important relationship
“As a church we’ve been putting our lives around this ministry for a number of years now. What we love is they aren’t simply introducing students to activities but to adults who really care about them (and) to the most important relationship they are ever going to have and that’s found in Christ alone.”
We all need someone to show up
At YFC Northern Indiana, it’s our aim to reach students who are lost — those desiring to feel known and in desperate need of the restorative love of Christ. This aim is unique in each community we serve. We encourage and welcome individuals and organizations to join with us in this crucial mission; our young people need all of us.
Every day at high schools, middle schools, community centers, juvenile institutions, coffee shops and local hangouts, YFC staff and volunteers meet with young people who need Jesus so they know they are not alone. We are rural and urban and we are always about the message of Jesus.
Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana is committed to pursuing teenagers in their world, sharing the hope of Christ. In this effort, YFC will consistently strive to develop safe, bridge-building relationships with young people through our programs so they would believe someone is for them, and believes in them. As students come to know Christ, through loving adults, our belief is their lives will be forever changed.
YFC USA & YFC International
A global movement to uncover God's Story in the next generation
Youth for Christ of Northern Indiana is part of a national movement to reach young people where they are, and YFC USA is part of a global movement through YFC International. We are knit together with our common mission, vision, statement of faith and passion to reach young people. One of our strengths in Youth for Christ is that we’re an indigenous-based ministry — all of our leaders are local to their communities. That is as true across the globe as it is right here in Northern Indiana. Our leaders know their communities, and they respond effectively to the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of the youth they serve. We are eager to share Jesus with young people and watch transformation happen in their lives.
Policies & Reports
Safe, bridge-building relationships
YFC engages young people in authentic Christ-sharing relationships so that 11-19-year-olds can experience the love of Christ. We are committed to pursuing teenagers in their world and will consistently strive to develop safe, bridge-building relationships with middle school and high school students and we do whatever it takes to make that happen. As students come to know the hope and love that God has to offer, our belief is that a teenager’s life will be impacted eternally.
YFC has been called to evangelize young people and raise them up to be contributing leaders in the body of Christ. Our strategy focuses on practicing the 5 Essentials (Widespread Prayer, Loving Relationships, Faithful Bible Teaching, Collaborative Community Strategy, and Adults Who Empower) through community-embedded ministry sites.
